My Personal Experience with Cancer

When you or a family member is diagnosed with cancer, your family will face the most unimaginable challenge you’ve had to overcome. Many families might even have to go through this journey entirely alone, and they won’t even know what kind of support they are missing out on. The strength of a community is vital to making it through this journey, and this is where CanSER comes in.

When my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer back in 2019, the whole process was incredibly daunting and we felt entirely alone. But, as my mom told more people about her diagnosis, she was introduced to a whole group of supportive women who provided helpful tips and tricks; but most importantly, they could be a friend who understood what she was going through. The coolest part about this group was that it formed completely organically, and was fully based off of WhatsApp!

However, I realized that not everyone might have access to such an amazing support group, or have the connections to be graced with such knowledgeable friends. I further realized that this journey must be even more daunting when it was not you diagnosed with cancer, but your child. That’s when I set out to create CanSER— the spot where you can be paired with a friend, a guide, a Cancer Concierge to help you and your family through your or your child’s cancer journey.

Here at CanSER, we are dedicated to providing support to any Breast or Pediatric cancer family that needs it.
