CAMPAIGN
Our mission is to build a national organization with local chapters to provide familiar & trustable one-on-one emotional support for cancer survivors!
Recently, I launched this outreach campaign to spread the word about CanSER and make my case. With nearly 13 Million (2001-2019) cancer survivors needing emotional support, it is a national problem that needs a national solution! Unfortunately, NONE exists! It is time to build one!
I plan to share my progress here. Stay Tuned!

We are spreading our mission by sharing our efforts with notable figures in the cancer space, philanthropists, federal orgs, and more! Check out who’s already supporting us!

Abby Westerman Co-Founder and CEO of b-present Foundation Caregiver of a Cancer Patient and Health Advocate | Yes, I support! Trust is essential in any meaningful relationship, but it doesn’t develop overnight; it’s earned and demonstrated over time. In today’s world, where friendships can form not just locally but also online globally, establishing trust is crucial yet challenging. This challenge becomes even more significant when seeking connections after a life-changing event, such as a cancer diagnosis. How do we connect with others and build meaningful relationships during vulnerable times? What qualities should we look for in others, and how can we verify that online representations are genuine? After a cancer diagnosis, it’s important to find a support system that not only understands the transformative experience but is also trustworthy and aligned with our interests, values, and passions. This is especially difficult for teens and young adults who might be away at school or starting a new phase of life in an unfamiliar place. A cancer diagnosis can amplify feelings of social isolation for everyone involved—patients, caregivers, families, and friends. I’m excited to see how CanSER can help build communities that foster trust and lifelong connections, ultimately improving the quality of life for everyone. |

Thank You Seattle Children’s CBDC Advisory Board!!
On September 17, I was invited to speak to the Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Patient Advisory Board about my national outreach campaign! It was an amazing experience, and I got to hear the stories of so many incredibly strong patient families. I was also able to share about CanSER, our national outreach campaign, and my motivations…
